Reacher VS Paulie “Arm Wrestling” FULL Scene (2025)

Reacher vs. Paulie – Arm Wrestling Showdown (2025)

Location: A dimly lit dive bar in Philadelphia. The air is thick with cigarette smoke and the scent of stale beer. A rowdy crowd gathers around a wooden table scarred from years of brawls and bad decisions. The jukebox plays an old Sinatra tune, barely audible over the shouting. Jack Reacher sits across from Paulie Pennino, Rocky Balboa’s loudmouthed, tough-as-nails brother-in-law. A bottle of whiskey sits between them.

The Setup

Paulie, red-faced and half a bottle deep into the night, slams his thick forearm onto the table. “C’mon, tough guy,” he slurs, cigar smoke curling from his lips. “You military boys think you’re strong, but I got South Philly steel in these arms.”

Reacher, calm as ever, takes a slow sip of black coffee—his drink of choice, even in a place like this. His massive hand, calloused from years of breaking bones, grips Paulie’s. “I don’t think. I know,” he says flatly.

The crowd erupts. Bets are placed. A burly bartender acts as referee.

The Match

“Three… two… one… GO!”

Paulie throws everything he’s got into the first push, veins bulging in his thick forearm. For a moment, the crowd thinks he has Reacher on the ropes.

But Reacher doesn’t move. His arm remains still, unshaken. His blue eyes stay locked on Paulie, expression unreadable.

Paulie grunts, his face turning redder. He leans in, applying more force. “Hhhrrrggghh!”

Reacher sighs. “You’re trying too hard.”

Then, with a flick of his wrist—BAM! Paulie’s knuckles slam into the table so hard the bottle of whiskey rattles.

Silence. Then laughter. Cheers. Some groans from those who bet against the giant drifter.

Paulie rubs his arm, scowling. “Jesus, guy. What’re you made of, concrete?”

Reacher just stands up, tosses a crumpled $20 on the table. “Buy yourself another drink. And some ice for that arm.”

He walks out into the night, disappearing as fast as he came.

Paulie just shakes his head and grabs the whiskey. “I shoulda known.”

End Scene.
