Brad Pitt stars in the upcoming film “F1,” set to be released in theaters and IMAX on June 27, 2025. Directed by Joseph Kosinski and produced in collaboration with Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton, the film offers an authentic portrayal of the high-speed world of Formula 1 racing.
The narrative follows Sonny Hayes (Brad Pitt), a retired Formula 1 driver returning to the circuit to mentor a promising rookie, Joshua “Noah” Pearce (Damson Idris). The storyline centers on themes of redemption, mentorship, and the intense dynamics within professional racing teams. The film also features performances by Javier Bardem as team owner Ruben, Kerry Condon as technician Kate, and Tobias Menzies as executive Banning.
To ensure realism, filming took place during actual Grand Prix events, with Pitt driving at speeds up to 180 mph on real Formula 1 tracks. Hamilton praised Pitt’s driving skills, noting his natural ability and dedication to authenticity.
