Asterix & Obelix: The Big Fight is an upcoming animated series set to premiere on Netflix on April 30, 2025. This series is an adaptation of the classic French comic “Asterix and the Big Fight” by René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo.
The storyline centers around the last independent village in Gaul, home to Asterix and Obelix, which remains unconquered by Rome. The villagers’ strength stems from a magic potion concocted by their druid, Getafix. However, when Getafix loses his memory and forgets the potion’s recipe, Asterix, Obelix, and their fellow villagers must devise new strategies to defend against Roman forces.

The series is directed by Alain Chabat, known for his work on the 2002 live-action film “Astérix & Obélix: Mission Cléopâtre.” Chabat brings his expertise to this animated adaptation, aiming to capture the humor and adventure of the original comics.

Netflix plans to release the series globally, making it accessible in 190 countries. To cater to a diverse audience, dubbing will be available in 39 languages, including Arabic, Dutch, English, Korean, Croatian, Hebrew, Mandarin, and Telugu. Additionally, episodes will feature audio descriptions in 17 languages and closed captioning in 8 languages, ensuring inclusivity for viewers worldwide.
