Netflix has released a teaser for “The Old Guard 2,” the sequel to the 2020 action film starring Charlize Theron. The film is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on July 2, 2025.
The sequel brings back the original cast, including Charlize Theron as Andy, KiKi Layne as Nile, Marwan Kenzari as Joe, Luca Marinelli as Nicky, Matthias Schoenaerts as Booker, and Chiwetel Ejiofor as Copley. New additions to the cast are Uma Thurman and Henry Golding in undisclosed roles.
Victoria Mahoney directs the sequel, taking over from Gina Prince-Bythewood, with the screenplay penned by Greg Rucka, the original comic book’s author.
The teaser offers glimpses of intense action sequences, including a significant set piece involving a helicopter, promising a continuation of the high-octane thrills from the first film.
